HOUSTON, TX (September 8, 2020) – The Postage, a full service digital platform that provides control and security in managing after-life affairs, has completed its first round of funding to expand and accelerate product development, launch its sales and marketing efforts, and hire a full-time executive team and supporting employees.
With the friend and family capital, The Postage will continue to design and build its robust functionality. The site offers a secure, flexible way for customers to organize, plan and manage their after-life affairs and posthumous messaging to loved ones. Branding and initial marketing efforts are underway, with the site launched for closed beta testing.
“I’m excited and encouraged by the overwhelming support The Postage has gained by surpassing our goal of $500k and reaching $925k, signaling the recognition of a void in the market and investor interest,” said Emily Cisek, CEO and Co-Founder of The Postage. “We understand life is precious and recognize how this year has heightened consumer awareness for the rapid need and adoption of this platform. That said, we are committed to providing a service that allows users to handle life on their own terms and alleviate time, money and effort spent by families experiencing loss. I look forward to watching The Postage continue to grow and develop as a platform pioneering the 21st century after-life market.”
In the midst of Covid-19, The Postage chose Houston as its headquarters in April 2020 and is led by Emily Cisek, CEO and Co-Founder. Since closing the round, the company has begun to staff up, including adding Ken Myers as Chief Technology Officer. A seasoned startup tech executive and entrepreneur, Myers will spearhead the development and integration of the cutting-edge technology used by the platform. The operations and management team consist of serial entrepreneurs, with success from ideation to growth and sale, valued at over $330 million collectively in startup exits.
